Films: Zombi 2 (1979)
Alias: Various
Type: Unknown
Location: Jungle/Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: Italy didn't seem to get the memo when Romero let the dawn of the undead end there (for now, at least). Now here's a sequel that isn't really a sequel. Confusing, is it not?
History: Somewhere on the Caribbean island of Matul, a zombie outbreak is underway. From the graves of ancient conquistadors to random civilians, nothing can seem to stop the menace. And then a few folk get stranded there.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: As it turns out, a zombie-related incident at New York’s harbor resulted in an outbreak not contained to just an island. Now, the whole country's in for a zombie epidemic.
Powers/Abilities: Those killed by them will become zombies too.
Weakness: Aim for the head.
Scariness Factor: 4-Much like Romero's zombies, these are relentless, unfeeling killers. It also helps that some look like they're barely keeping themselves together. Some even have parasites crawling in them!
Trivia: -This film is called “Zombi 2” because Italy released Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" as "Zombi". A better title is its alternative, "Zombie Flesh Eater"s.
-That signature scene with the zombie and the tiger shark fighting each other to a standstill was made possible by the zombie being portrayed by an actual shark trainer.
